International World Community This is the Service Avenue that distributes the largest percentage of our Club's funds.  The Rotary Club of Marin Sunrise has started, or participated in more than two-dozen projects in 12 countries.  Here are the projects we have participated in recently:

bulletRotarians, guests and Interact members traveled to Tijuana to refurbish a room in the Casa Hogar Sion Orphanage.--- Photos
bulletCo-sponsored, with the Marin Evening club, a Rotary matching grant project to help furnish a Rotary sponsored elementary school in Los Lojas, Ecuador. 
bulletWe support Project Amigo in Colima Mexico.
bulletSent club members on RotaPlast medical trips to South American countries to provide free clef pallet surgery.
bulletSupports the Rotary Peace Center at UC/Berkeley.
bulletSupports Lama Tenzin Orphanage at Dehradun, India.

Youth Service Our Youth Service Avenue extends beyond  our sponsorship of the Interact Club at the Redwood High School.  Here are the major projects of our club:

bulletStarted and supports the  Interact Club of Redwood High School (12+ years)
bulletProvides scholarships for the Camp Soulejoule Scholarship Program for Marin youth.
bulletParticipates in Rotary International Youth Exchange  --- Read Cory's  and Kelsey's Reports
bulletTrips for Kids Sponsor
bulletWork visit with Redwood HS Interact Youth  to refurbish and financially support the Casa Hogar Sion Orphanage in Tijuana Mexico
bulletBay Model tour for Timothy Murphy School 
bulletOffer need and merit Scholarships

Community Service Our major effort in the community is our support of the RotaCare Clinic in San Rafael.  Beyond this, there are many other community service programs which our club supports.

bulletRotaCare medical Clinic - Ten years of medical care for the uninsured of Marin County.
bulletCall Of the Sea - Educational sailing experience.  Day sails for youth selected by the Canal Community Alliance.
bulletTimothy Murphy School - Ongoing support  - This year we will sponsor outings and give our dictionaries to the boys.
bulletSenior Thanksgiving Dinner - Fifteen years of offering a traditional Thanksgiving dinner to senior citizens of Corte Madera and Larkspur.  
bulletWarm Clothing Drive - Twelve years of coordinating the collection of warm clothing for the Ritter Center on San Rafael, California
bulletHuckleberry House - We repainted the two bedrooms in the "confidential counseling and housing" facility for troubled youth. 
bulletDavidson Middle School Library - Each week the speaker is presented with a book to sign which we donate to the library.
bulletSalvation Army Bell Ringing - We volunteer annually to support the Salvation Army to help them raise money for their work.
bulletMarin Food Bank - We donate/collect food for this organization which serves the working poor and unemployed. 
bulletMarin Abused Women Services - One of our members presents monthly seminars for the residents of the shelter.  The club supports the shelter program with donations of cosmetics. 
bulletProject Marine Care - We support this program which ships "Care" packages to service members of all branches serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, Djibouti, and the Philippine Islands -  Letters and Pictures

Club Service We are active participants in our District, National and International level Rotary organizations.
