International World Community This is the Service Avenue that distributes the largest percentage of our Club's funds.  The Rotary Club of Marin Sunrise has started, or participated in more than two-dozen projects in 12 countries.  Here are the projects we have participated in recently:

bulletRotarians, guests and Interact members traveled to Tijuana to refurbish a room in the Casa Hogar Sion Orphanage.--- Photos 2008 start
bulletSent club members on RotaPlast medical trips to provide free clef pallet surgery.
bulletSupports the Rotary Peace Center at UC/Berkeley.
bulletSponsored two Shelter Boxes

Youth Service Our Youth Service Avenue extends beyond  our sponsorship of the Interact Club at the Redwood High School.  Here are the major projects of our club:

bulletStarted and supports the  Interact Club of Redwood High School
bulletCall Of the Sea - Educational sailing experience.  Day sails for youth. Read  the letter Call of the Sea  received  from the Samuel L. Gompers School.  
bulletProvides scholarships for the Camp Soulejoule Scholarship Program for Marin youth.
bulletParticipates in Rotary International Youth Exchange 
bulletWork with the  Redwood HS Interact Youth  to refurbish and financially support the Casa Hogar Sion Orphanage in Tijuana Mexico
bulletBay Model tour for Timothy Murphy School

Community Service Our major effort in the community is our support of the RotaCare Clinic in San Rafael.  Beyond this, there are many other community service programs which our club supports.

bulletRotaCare Medical Clinic - Ten years of medical care for the uninsured of Marin County.
bulletSupported the Big God Ministries Thanksgiving Turkey distribution
bulletSenior Thanksgiving Dinner - Seventeen years of offering a traditional Thanksgiving dinner to senior citizens of Corte Madera and Larkspur.
bulletWarm Clothing Drive - Fourteen years of coordinating the collection of warm clothing for the Ritter Center on San Rafael, California
bulletDictionary Project - Marin Sunrise is working with other clubs in our district to distribute dictionaries to third-graders in four local schools.
bulletSalvation Army Bell Ringing - We volunteer annually to support the Salvation Army to help them raise money for their work.
bulletHuckleberry House - We repainted the two bedrooms in the confidential counseling and housing facility for troubled youth. - Photos
bulletMarin Abused Women Services and Marin Services for Women- The club supports these shelter programs with donations of cosmetics and maintenance of the grounds of the facility. 
bulletMarin Food Bank - We donate/collect food for this organization which serves the working poor and unemployed. 

Club Service We are active participants in our District, National and International level Rotary organizations.
