Casa Hogar Sion isn't elegant, but it is a safe
and loving shelter. It currently hosts 120 orphans from the streets of Tijuana.

This is a dormitory for some of the younger
children.

As in any large family, the older children take care on the
younger ones.

and director of Casa Hogar Sion, with a big check from the
Redwood High School Interact Club and the Marin Sunrise Rotary
Club.

Marin Sunrise Rotary Club sponsors an Interact Club
at Redwood High School. In March of 2007, four Interact
members, four Rotarians, a Rotarooter, and four volunteers went to Tijuana,
Mexico to the Casa Hogar Sion orphanage.
The travelers included Interact members, Emma
Vallandigham, Denit Trau, Morgan
Elliot and Heather Peguero; Rotarians Cammie
Dingwall, Cristy Egan, Bill Ring, Farhad Taleghani and his wife
Nahal; and four volunteers, Paul Giesler, Elena Otiz, Teresa Ortiz,
and Hoppy Ortiz.
The group fixed a few items on the
campus and painted the
nursery area. |
The only thing left to do is to wait out the one hour queue at
the border.
